This trip will start from Nantwich Aqueduct or possibly further round towards Market Drayton  - it’s quite a walk from the train station so it would be wise for guests arriving by rail to pre-book a taxi.

Total distance is 59 miles, and 54 locks . There are 16 small aqueducts or underbridges and 3 tunnels (Cowley Tunnel (81 yards long), Dunsley Tunnel (25 yards long) and Cookley Tunnel (65 yards long)

Guests will arrive approximately 1.30pm on day one and after an introductory blah blah (and most probably glass of something fizzy) we’ll chug off to begin our adventure.

The aim will be to make it up as we go.  We may get slowed down if Audlem locks are busy… and again on the Staffs and Worcs as there is often a queue at the Bratch…worse case we’ll have an early start or late finish if required.

Pubs on route include;   The shroppie Fly, The Anchor, The Wharf, Norbury Wharf, The Royal Oak, The Bridge Inn, The Round Oak, The Wagon & Horses, The Cross Inn and the King and Castle.

NB – pub visits are NOT compulsory … just encouraged by Capt. Ellis.

At the end of the trip, we’ll have arrived in Kidderminster where this trip will terminate and    guests will depart following breakfast on the final morning.
