Capt. E. is ahead of the game this year... route planning in October 2025.   Following on from the extreme drought conditions which closed 400 miles of the network for months this season, I'm playing things a bit more safe (famous last words) in 2027 and only planning trips on areas of canals that have remained open.  2025 was a terrible year for all boaters - perhaps more so for those of us trying to make a living from our travels... (or lack thereof due to closures) - The upshot being the 2027 routes should  be achievable even if CRT continue prioritising  'non-boater focussed activities over actually keeping canals usable.

Cruise 1:             1st – 7th April (6 nights)  Stone to Northwich.

 

Cruise 2:            10th – 15th April (5 nights) Northwich to Manchester.

 

Cruise 3:            19th – 26th April (7 nights) Manchester to Liverpool (2nights moored in Salthouse                         Dock).

 

Cruise 4:            29th April -6th May (7 nights) Liverpool to Manchester (inc 1 night Liverpool & 1 night in Manchester).

 

Cruise 5:            9th – 14th May (5 nights) Manchester to Middlewich.

 

Cruise 6:            17th – 22nd May (5 nights)  Middlewich to Chester.

 

Cruise 7:            25th – 30th May (5 nights) Chester top Nantwich.

 

Cruise 8:            2nd – 8th June  (6 nights ) Nantwich to Llangollen.

 

Cruise 9:            12th – 15th June (3 nights) Chirk return via the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Llangollen Basin.

 

Cruise 10:          18th – 2st June (3 nights) Chirk return via the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Llangollen Basin.

 

Cruise 11:          24th – 29th June (5 nights) – Chirk to Chirk via Llangollen Basin, Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Ellesmere.

 

Cruise 12:          3rd – 6th July (3 nights) ) Chirk return via the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Llangollen Basin.

 

Cruise 13:          9th – 12th July (3 nights) ) Chirk return via the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Llangollen Basin.

 

Cruise 14:          15th – 20th July (5 nights) – Chirk to Chirk via Llangollen Basin, Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Ellesmere.

 

Cruise 15:          24th – 31st July (6 nights) Llangollen to Nantwich.

 

Cruise 16:          3rd – 9th August (6 nights) Nantwich to Llangollen.

 

Cruise 17:          12th – 18th August (6 nights) Llangollen to Chirk VIA Frankton Locks & Montgomery Canal.

 

Cruise 18:          22nd – 28th August (6 nights) Llangollen to Nantwich.

 

Cruise 19:          1st – 8th September (7 nights) Nantwich to Stone ( South/West HALF 4 counties ring).

 

Cruise 20:          11th – 14th September (3 nights) Stone to to Kidsgrove  -Harecastle Tunnel.

 

Cruise 21:          17th -24th September (7 nights)  Kidsgrove to Stone via Congleton and Harecastle Tunnel.
